Community Fueled - Update
Apologies for my tardiness in reporting back on the Community Fueled pitch back in June (gulp! I really have been tardy!). Firstly, a big thank you to all that came to support me. I appreciated it.
It would be fair to say I nervously presented - shaking voice and hands - to a group of 100+ people. Unfortunately, my project wasn't successful in winning the grant, but I came away feeling very positive. Many people came to me afterwards (acknowledging they could see my nerves) and said, "If I wasn't here to support someone else's project, I would have voted for you." The comments and conversations I had after the pitch also reiterated my belief; this story resonates with people regardless of age, sex or ethnicity. So, the journey doesn't end here. It will continue on. Watch this space...
